Fall Fun

The Wheeler County Chamber of Commerce and the City of Alamo are sponsoring a Fall Festival on Saturday, October 29th in the Alamo Flower Garden

From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.  The Railroad Motor Car Run will be coming through around noon.  

 

We have lots of fun things planned including a straw maze, Trunk or Treat and there will be a Chili Cook off at the Alamo General Store to raise money for the WheelerCountyDisaster Relief Fund.

 

The fee to enter the Chili Cook off is $15.00 or if you just want to taste some of that good chili you can for just $5.00.   There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes awarded.  All money raised will go to the Relief fund, prizes have been donated.

The Wheeler County Chamber of Commerce proudly announces Wheeler County State Bank as the business of the month.

The Wheeler County State Bank is a State Chartered, FDIC Insured, Full Service Bank headquartered in Alamo,Ga. 

 The bank was chartered in 1945 and has continuously operated from Alamo since that time.  We serve our customers from offices in Alamo, Glenwood and two offices inDublin.

 The bank started business in 1945 with a Capital Account of $30,000.  Thanks to our loyal customers, our Capital Account has grown to over  $11,000,000, and we look forward to serving our community for many years to come.

Welcome new member!

As a crowd of friends and chamber members looked on Mr. Gene Hopkins welcomed Mrs. Rhonda Gilder and In Color Hair Salon as she cut the ribbon on her new business.  Although her business has been open for a little while now this was the first opportunity to officially gather and cut the ribbon.

In Color Hair Salon is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.  Located at 55 N Commerce Street in Alamo you can drop by or call ahead for an appointment at 568-0092.
