One hundred
years ago, Scottish-Irish immigrants moved from Roberson County,
North Carolina to South Georgia to settle in an area then known
as Montgomery County, two miles from the Oconee River. The small
settlement grew quickly, and soon a railroad steamed through the
small town of Glenwood.
